Health & Safety Law is a complex area spanning many different regulations and codes of practice. To ensure the smooth running of an organisation and to avoid undue risk to the safety of employees , or third parties, the organisation must be aware of the law and follow the correct procedures.

All organisations pursuant to the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 must undertake a health and safety risk assessment and then update this if there are any significant changes in the workplace. This can be a challenging undertaking unless the organisation has the appropriate ability and experience.

Affinity Resolutions provides a bespoke and cost-effective external Health & Safety support service which ensures the organisation has compliant documentation with access to expert advice and support.

External Health & Safety Services

1. 1. Provide a template health and safety risk assessment for the organisation to complete. Once completed we will provide a report in respect of compliance and advise whether measures need to be implemented to reduce risk in the workplace
   2. On the annual renewal of the health and safety retainer, a further risk assessment and report will be undertaken
   3. Provide a detailed Health and Safety Handbook. The handbook forms part of overall compliance with the legal requirements and creates a framework for the organisation’s policies and procedures.
   4. Depending on the organisation’s needs and requirements we will provide:
      • Health and Safety Policy
      • Infection Prevention and Control Policy
      • Manual Handling Policy
      • Risk Management Procedure
      • Stress and Mental Wellbeing Policy
      • Whistleblowing Policy
   5. Provide unlimited access to an advice line by phone and email. The telephone advice line operates Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 6.00pm. The caller can access bespoke and detailed advice about any Health and Safety issues.
   6. Advise on any relevant changes in Health and Safety Law and how this may affect the organisation.

Our Service levels

1. 1. 1. Provide telephone and email assistance between 8.00am and 6.00pm on normal business days
      2. Respond to telephone calls and emails within 12 normal business hours of receipt.
      3. Give independent advice on all aspects of Health & Safety Law.

The Agreement

The agreement will be for a period of 24 months at the end of which the organisation can renew for periods of 12 months. Each client will be provided with a written agreement.

The Cost

Our pricing structure is an annual charge of £250 plus VAT and then an additional charge of:

1. 1. • Employees 1-10                    £25 plus VAT for each employee
      • Employees 11+                     £10 plus VAT for each employee

Special Rates 

For clients wishing to take our HR package in addition to our Health and Safety package, the cost of the Health and Safety will be reduced to the annual charge of £250.00 plus vat only. There will be no charge for each employee.
